Once you've acquired all the important blueprints whatever someone does to you is only temporary. I get pissed but I have to tell myself it's part of the game.

Oh no that's not it at all. I bought the game Friday Kraker. How long have you been playing it? I built a base for cool looks and it wasn't even my concept. I've had many people tell me all the ways that people can get into it. Lol did you really think that I was going around bragging that I was already the biggest and baddest? Cmon man. No reason to act like a douche already to someone who just bought the game.

Like I already stated, I played DayZ for 2 years straight. Had my ups and downs. Learned the secrets of the game, lost all my shit, spent hours/days re-gearing. That's all Rust is too, just a new flavor.

Yea, you broke into my base and stole my shit. Great job. Bet if feels good to do that to someone who has been playing for 3 days. But hey, I totally understand. That's the name of the game. If I was in your position and the way I personally felt about you, I'd do the same thing and probably worse. Yea it's demoralizing, especially when I just bought the game, but any first time Rust players have to learn these lessons if they plan on playing more of the game. Problem is I can already go through my head and see the progression of the game after 3 days of playing. Like you said, better base, better defense, metal, find more friendly players. Then what? Get it destroyed, destroy others, server restart, do it all again? Is it worth all the time and frustration that I've already dealt with for two years? Not at the moment.

Pat yourself on the back. You and you alone caused Blonde to rage quit...

Lol I don't rage, I get revenge. If I ever play Rust on the TPG server again you will never know. That's step 1 you haven't learned.

I'm very glad you guys posted this; reaffirms to me that I probably wouldn't enjoy this game - I like mine craft and love the creative freedom of making something, I don't like the idea that the creations you make can be destroyed by someone waiting for you to log off for the night. Thanks Blonde for being a Guinea pig

lol...yea, that's why I stopped playing Counter Strike...everytime I'd save up enough for an M4, someone would come kill me and I would have to wait a few roudns before I had enough again...

So many babies in the gaming world these days lol....Hell, us TPGers that ran the BMRF server had our fantastic metal bases wiped 3 TIMES and still came back and rebuilt. Half the fun is gathering and finding resources. The other half is finding CREATIVE ways to build bases, hide said bases, and defend at all cost.

But thats Ok, i'd rather have people on the server who enjoy the game.

Worst analogy ever, but anyways. Settle down. I already admitted that it sucked to have all my shit stolen. I'm not trying to hide it. Your exactly right that players NEED to learn how to play the game. You don't build a cool looking base, but terrible defense and not expect it to get broken into. I'm not complaining about getting my shit stolen, I'm complaining that I've already played this game before in DayZ and like others I'm bored of it. That's not saying I'm not going to play at all anymore, in fact I've already been on the server today twice. The point is I'm not going to go gunho like I did with DayZ, pouring hours upon hours into the game everyday. It's just not worth it.

Your judging people and calling them names because of their gaming preferences and experiences. Not really logical for most. Remember you are trying to sell the game to first time tryers, not push them away. Let the game be the one to do that.

That's my biggest problem. You covet someone's shit you wait until they log off and blow it up. AND you kill them as well... You should NOT be able to kill someone after they log off. I don't mind dying and losing my stuff if a) I can go back to my body and retrieve it (which I was unable to do today) or b) as long as it only happens when I can actually defend myself.
