02-04-14, 02:27 PM #1Questions and Answers: Rust
So I listened to some of your tips and last night logged off out in the mountains instead of my base. I didn't put down a sleeping bag or anything, but did keep a lot of valuable gear on my person. Woke up this morning to being a fresh spawn. I didn't even spawn at one of my sleeping bags.
Did I get killed overnight? Do you not spawn at your sleeping bags unless you choose "At Camp"? Why didn't I get that option when I logged in? Can you die of being "cold" if you sleep in the wild over night?

It sounds like you got killed overnight, although it could be a bug. Unless there is a server wipe, then everybody ends up with a rock.
When you first log in, there is no option to spawn at camp. I wish it gave you that option since it would basically tell you "your dead" when you log in. You need to suicide, then select spawn at camp. You should then go to your last placed sleeping bag. As far as i know, you do not die of exposure when not logged in, and your body disappears at restart so at least you are not vulnerable then.
