They will update things, as you can see it should take 2 c4 for a wood wall now. I think c4 should stay the way it is, if anything we should just look to implement rules on building ceilings on other players bases, or no sabotage of towers. please don't kill the game with more rules, if your base gets blasted by 20c4 to bad. I sure cant craft any at this point

This is why I'm hesitant to make any major changes to it... the patches are changing the way things work all the time.
I decreased the amount of explosives that drop in air drops. They shouldn't drop at all otherwise. And C4 should be the same as it was.
We'll see what happens. It's alpha... we might get wiped again at any point and if things get out of hand we can always manually wipe again anyway. This isn't like minecraft where a wipe destroys hundreds of hours of work...
And I'm thinking of throwing up a 7DtD server too for those mincraftier peoples.SmokenScion liked this post

My two cents, for what its worth;
C4 itself is too easy to obtain. While explosives are the key point to crafting C4, the day we wiped the server last week, Scott and a couple others had around 6-7 C4 from airdrops and Mutant farming within the first two hours they started playing. While increasing the cost to craft C4 is nice, when you can get a lucky start like that, it really makes the "early game" of a fresh wipe a little one sided.
The tricky part will be balancing C4 availability for our population, at current. While it is possible to raid with grenades, they are technically more costly than C4. There's got to be a middle ground somewhere that will suit our low population, for now.

If no C4 then it makes bases nearly impossible to raid. I am just working on a base that would required 12+ C4 to get to the center, without C4 forget it. It would never be raided. I think it takes out a large element to the game.

I have made hundreds of grenades to break into peoples houses. I've also put giant arrows on the roads with lines of campfires leading to their house with a GIANT X at their NEW front door.
