TPG MEDIA NEEDS BUTTS!!
We need people to join the media staff. We need editors willing to read reviews and publish them. We need writers willing to write reviews. We need people willing to do video reviews somewhat in the style of the oh so awesome Totalbiscuit's WTF videos. We need BUTTS IN SEATS!!
We don't expect 40 hours a week. Just a small amount of time to review a game... edit the review and publish it.
Guyver and I are working on some mini-reviews with our 1600+ game steam library where we'll be throwing out blurbs 2-3 times a week. We are going to build up a queue so that we aren't constantly working on these and in a couple weeks we plan to start putting these out regularly. But we need other stuff too. Hardware reviews maybe. Video (youtube) reviews would be great and I know we have some people that stream stuff.
Come on people. We need some butts in seats willing to help out TPG Media. It's fallen into disrepair recently and we want to bring it back up to snuff.

Can I put my hat in for an editor/proof read position?

I don't have lots of time, but I'd be willing to do written reviews from time to time. I try out new gaming mice and keyboards somewhat regularly. I'm also getting South Park when that comes out. I'd be open to reviewing that if nobody else wants to

Re: TPG MEDIA NEEDS BUTTS!!
I think it's time to broaden our horizons to start featuring Console related stuff as well in the media forum. As I have an XBOX One, I would be willing to write reviews on games if TPG would gift them to me, as well as shoot in game video demos as well, as it is very simple to do with the Xbox One
Also, I have taken over the Facebook page. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you see a post from TPG, like it, share it. Facebook works like a rock on the hill, it will keep rolling and reach more people, the more likes and shares it receives. So please help out.
If you have not liked the facebook page, allow me to kick you in the nuts, and then please go like the page. Thanks!

Over the past 3 months, I have been purchasing different pieces of equipment to help in the media area. I have an Avermedia Live Gamer HD capture device that can pass through and capture any video through HDMI up to 1080p. I plan on doing reviews of older games from my retro PC collection, just to get some entertaining content for the site. I have almost every type of conversion to HDMI as well, so I can pull off of VGA, DVI, or even S-Video (please, God, NO!!)
I have also been using NVIDIA Shadowplay to record some newer games, and I fully plan on making reviews, previews, let's plays, etc. Where I will need some help is having some entry audio and background music. I have the equipment to record and do my own music, but I just don't have the time. Kracker, I bet you could help out with some of that. I can then edit the video and post on Youtube, or any other video sharing service, link to Facebook, etc.
We will also be recording video footage from PAX, and I fully expect to have articles posted while we are at the event to inform the readers of anything interesting or cool going on.

Re: TPG MEDIA NEEDS BUTTS!!
console games are fine btw... as for gifting games, we'll take it on a case by case basis. That's obviously a bigdog thing and if he approves then review the fuck out of it.
And I don't personally care if it's a computer game, console game, board game, card game... Whatever. Content is content.
