Thief for PC Reviews - Metacritic

To quote PCGamer: "Great in places, but never quite lives up to its potential. A competent sequel let down by inconsistency."

Compare this to Thief: The Dark Project, which got a 92 Meta Score and 9.2 User Score, and then Thief II: The Metal Age, which got an 87 Meta Score and 9.2 User Score. The new Thief is apparently a let down. I may still pick it up if it goes on sale, but 69 Meta Score is pretty bad. Even the final release of Insurgency is getting rated better than this game.

Well, sure, it's probably not going to be as good as the other games in the series..but still.

You cite the user critic score to mean more than the review sites' critic score ...then quote PC gamer, a review site.

Your opinion seems skewed to me.. ....but, whatever.

Yes, you did ...but, you cited the Metacritic user score to be more important than the 69 review score, and then turn around and quote PC gamer...a review site. That make no sense.

I've had quite a bit of fun playing this. It's relatively true to the Thief saga.Traveling between the zones is kinda a pain in the ass but it makes sense story-wise. Haven't gone very far in the story, mostly because I've been exploring quite a bit.

And I am still playing it, although my gaming time these last few months has been small

Same...I show a ton of gametime, but that's just because I start up a sp game and walk away a ton. You tried any of the challenges yet?

Yes and i gave up to go back to the normal game.... I don't have time to fiddle with that right now.
