Re: command and conquer
dunno. I played hell getting C&C4 and C&C3 (only two I tried) to even change resolutions without crashing. I had to eventually find an options.ini file online that someone else had used (due to the same reason) that manually set all the video options. Then I could never get the "online" option in C&C3 to connect. It just kept saying "failed to connect" even though if I punched in a common username it knew that it was in use and wouldn't let me use it.
So we turned to tunngle and played a game of C&C3 and a quick bastard of a game of C&C4 (can't remember if that was tunngle or in-game actually).

I played through it when it first came out. I remember leaving school, skipping my last period, and driving to EB games with a couple of friends just to get it. We were so incredibly hyped up about it. Then we installed it. It was... um... different.
I actually liked playing through it and thoroughly enjoyed the campaigns, although my friends all hated it and immediately went back to playing Red Alert, or other stuff. I have to admit that the multiplayer was sort of lame. Red Alert 2 revived the franchise on the multiplayer end of the equation.
