The flight controls are actually largely based off of Freelancer's mouse-guided fly-by-wire, which worked absurdly well. Only difference is you have a much more limited cone of fire in Star Citizen, whereas Freelancer let you fire almost anywhere in front and almost to the side of you.

Point is, Roberts knows a lot of people don't have joysticks or complicated flying setups and designs the controls around a mouse and keyboard first.

Its magnificent! Allot smaller than I imagined, it feels like a space shuttle and a stealth jet had passionate love making session and this is its baby. If we can I plan to spray paint mine deep matte grey.

Hey all! I am a backer of Star Citizen. Ace22 told me hit you guys up. Ive got a Constellation, a Super Hornet, a M50 and a Xian Scout. Ive got a small group of friends playing, and figured that I can never have enough wingmen! Also look out for the surprise sale tomorrow; they are selling the Xian Scout for one day.
