Like I said, they aren't selling these things. The ships are gifts. They are in no way obligated to actually give you anything after the exchange of money.

They don't need more, but as they figured out during the kickstarter, people seem to keep donating regardless of whether they update their pledge options or not, so to me it just seems like a courtesy for them to give more options. It doesn't affect my donation at all, but it's nice for people willing to give more to be able to get something different in exchange.

Actually, it is setup as a salable good though. Not "Here have a gift." Pay money to get said gift = purchasing gift. I'm not mad at them. Simply disappointed as, imo, this borders on PtW territory (Spending additional RL money and in return receiving items/ships that give advantages over other players who do not spend RL money is pretty much PtW).

I have no BF4 discs - digital

(but that said, I have spent approximately $70 due to finding sales and coupons for a game that I intended to play with my TPG friends but haven't had the time go figure). But again, your point of comparison "...$100 to be a soldier" is inaccurate to begin with. Furthermore, $35 or $70 or even $100 for a "FULL GAME" (BF4) is a far cry from "Let me add a $150 (or $250 or $1000, etc) ship to the $35 I've already paid for the game (SC)".

I understand the point that you'd like to make. But you're not making it. So sorry.

I spent 40 initially. Then I decided as time went on and I saw their passion for this game and giving people a quality product to invest in the project by getting an LTI ship for 250 dollars. I am betting on the package I purchased to gain value over time though. However if it doesn't at the very least while I am playing the game I will always have the ship I want no matter what. It isn't like you don't get anything for your money though. They continue to offer up great things to put into the game so it's all fine by me.
