Re: Star Citizen
New stretch goal - buy Crytek (lifted from Reddit thread)
But I know if this will have any impact on SC at all.
What would Crytek declaring bankruptcy mean for Star Citizen? : starcitizen

Re: Star Citizen
Crytek is probably not going to kick the bucket. We'll likely see a reduction of their staff and a dramatic overhaul of their subscription and license pricing.

Re: Star Citizen
I wasn't to worried about it. No matter what CIG has the rights to use the engine. The thing I worry about is that the team won't have that asset of the Crytek team helping them out with the engine so it might effect performance and productivity.

Re: Star Citizen
Is it because it's digital that your getting so worked up about?
Like it's already been said, you're paying to support the production, not for a product.
If you don't want to spend $150; don't. But you have to wait until the game is released then drop your $30-$50 before you can play THEN put the work in to get the same ship that you can get for $150 now.
Is it worth it to me? No. So I spent $50, got a decent ship and alpha access.
That's why the merchant area of RSI is called the PLEDGE store not just a store.

Re: Star Citizen
Actually not that upset. As mentioned, I already have the game. For $35.
Just don't care for the practice (or appearance) because it is, as I said, PtW in my opinion. I think that is a bad thing. What will SC cost for a player to feel able to compete? $50? $75? $250? Granting accelerated ability and/or advanced equipment for RL cash is PtW. Pure and simple as I see it. This seems an endorsement of that under the innocuous guise of 'pledging support' all the while automatically creating two tiers of player. Those who 'pledged' significant $$ over whatever the purchase or sub cost (and all the benefit and advantage that comes with it) and those who did not or could not.
But if it pleases the court, I'll strike the question and concede the point. No harm. No foul. Nothing gained by this disagreement.

Re: Star Citizen
I grew up playing flight sims... its been a long time, far too long. My old joysticks have connectors that my computers no longer have.....
So I just ordered a Thrustmaster T-16000M for my left stick, and a Thrustmaster Warthog for my right stick.
I need to get caught up on the software end of things. Do these things still need drivers and a wrapper to map to a single controller for a game?-- Intentionally Left Blank --
