With the new consoles on an x86 processor architecture and the GPUs being a standard all be modified to be on the same board as the rest of the hardware GPU like you would see in a normal PC it is near impossible to have the horrible ports of yesteryear. I think you guys are jealous of the people who get to go see it is all. muhahahaha.

I live in Plano?
It is easier to port now, however, graphics are still geared towards consoles including the settings to adjust them. Hell, one of the only devs to do a proper port to the PC has been From Software. They learned a lot from the first Dark Souls and made a huge effort in terms of interface and control schemes.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

No, but they are important when the majority of games made that are console focused suck balls. If you're going to make a game with a shitty story, at least make it look pretty. I enjoyed the Ratchet and Clank games since they used an art style that looked great and would work on a console. Not that I didn't enjoy the story/gameplay of them.
Heck, even in terms of optimizations the console first games generally suck. Case in point being COD:Ghosts. Initially, the PC version, due to how it was coded, required around 6GB of RAM even though it didn't even use a full GB on max settings. The RAM was reserved and would just sit empty.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
