Saw the feed post just now and the image immediately slapped me upside the head. I was all ZOMG THAT LOOKS LIKE A COBRA MK III... Then I had a very brief moment of WTF IS A COBRA MK III?! All I knew is that I was excited beyond measure. Then it hit me. WHEN DID SOMEONE START MAKING A NEW ELITE GAME!?!?!?

Elite Dangerous is coming and I may never sleep again once it arrives. I still say Elite was the best game of all time and I've been waiting for a new one that matches the feel of the first for oh... 30 years?

I've known about this game for a long time now. I started seeing videos of the beta on Streams and Youtube at least 2-3 monthes ago. xD

It does look pretty awesome, though.

'Twas announced right at the same time Star Citizen was announced, but a few days later, hence why it was was swept under the rug by most people.

Is this an MMO? It sounds like it's multiplayer with exploration, yet I see only 500 systems for exploration?

I have been playing elite dangerous since the alpha.....

I bought two flight sticks for my preferred dual-stick flight model.

They have been expanding the universe slowly over time. The alpha only had like 10-15 systems...... but still it was tough... making money is hard.

I haven't had time to play recently, but I am looking to get back to it. Elite dangerous is my holdover game until star citizen gets to where it needs to be.

I highly recomend giving the players guide a read: Elite: Dangerous Pilot's Guide/Manual/Tutorial/Help - Frontier Forums
before getting into the game... it will explain a lot that is poorly explained in the games current state.

They appear to be following the same pricing that planetary annihilation followed. Pay a LOT to play early, and the price goes down at release. I think you can pre-order it for 50 bux and get some DLC with it.
