Thread: Sword Coast Legends

So, actually saw this on Tom's Hardware of all places. It appears the game is being developed by the old members of Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. One of the Directors also worked on Dragon Age: Origins. One of the studios involved is Digital Extremes, known for the Unreal series, Warframe, and BioShock.

It's ruleset 5.0 and there's only going to be six classes, but there will also be a DM mode. It will also ship with a Module system, which most likely works the same way that it did for Neverwinter Nights, which means custom maps and quests abound.

I'll pass judgment when I see some game play on it. I like the concept but many DnD video games have come up short to the likes of balders gate and NWN.

the weak part has always been any implementation of a DM. But if they can pull that off I'll be happy to DM some of you clowns around the sword coast.
