There is a certain charm to having a more portable mini ITX or mATX machine. My main rig sits at my desk, but my mini rig is where I do all my tinkering/mods/etc and that's the one I take places like QuakeCon. I love trying to find elegant ways to cram horsepower into my little micro-ATX case

Though I have looked into ways to split a 16x PCIe slot into two 8x slots..... its not supported by my motherboard, as far as I can tell. Plus then I would have to get super creative with how I mount a second video card in an already small case.

What about making your own version of what Alienware does with the external graphics card? It'd be another thing to carry though, and I think I remember you fitting everything into one travel case.

Not to mention how much of a pain in the case it can be to move a full tower. I guess the one nice thing about being home is that I've only had to move the case a bit for cleaning. The edges of my case are sharp.

Yea, my computer travels with me.... has to be small enough to fit in my carry on. Along with my headphone amp, headphone dac, and mini led projector..... so yeah the computer needs to be small.
