As one who loved this game in the past but couldn't play it on anything past win xp I'm happy to see this, especially with native widescreen support and steamworks built in too... admittedly a bit surprised to see a patch 10 years after the fact but still, beggars and all that..

I just played through it on Windows 8.1.

I wonder if the Droid planet still works. It allowed you to get fuel for Telos without Nar Shaddaa.

Still d/l myself, slow connection today.. have to get that mudpack* that reinstalls all the cut stuff to see right off the bat

The mod is good. Be careful if you use other mods though. It doesn't play well with them all. The Droid planet used to work with it, but I don't know after this official patch. That planet wasn't cut; it was never finished. So, the mod features volunteer voice actors where needed. Remember how there was one Jedi Master you didn't go find? Well, that master is on the Droid planet.

It's also coming to GOG, I think, but that still doesn't help you.

It is on sale for 7.49 on steam atm, which is a reasonable price.. heck if I didn't already have it I'd pay 7.49 again just for the chance to easily reinstall it with all the mod support on steam (that game was NOWHERE near as easy to work with mod wise as skyrim..) I admit that I wish someone had uploaded a higher res texture pack.. everyone says that some existed.. but no sign of em yet, hell as a former player of SWTOR I'd be happy with the textures from that even
