Well I hope this clears up soon.

I think it is a much under appreciated occupation for sure.

Sometimes actors are required to go into mocap and actually act out scenes and some of those may include stunts or hazards. I know it sounds stupid but even with the simplest of stunts you can still get you hurt. I remember reading an article about how a star of Star Trek: The Next Generation broke a tailbone after doing a small fall to the ground after being "struck" by lightning.

Good thing the actor didn't have to beat up a defenseless lizard.

But.....They are not actors. They are talkers. It would be like getting hurt doing radio. If they are being made to act anything out, I am willing to bet that the production company is well insured (as any employer would have to be on a remote job site) (remote meaning anywhere but a studio in front of a microphone). Hurt isn't an issue, it's the added finger-lifting they want to be compensated for. It seems to me they should negotiate that into their own contracts (at least I would want to), rather than come up with a generic price for "stunts" (whatever that would entail) which are anything but generic.

As for The Star Track ( ) guy, I'm sure the production company was insured, and I'm sure he got his buttbone fixed. I also bet that hurt like a mofo for a few days.
