    Hearthstone

Anyone else play? It's become my PVP game of choice since my router doesn't like being used much. (This is why I'm not getting CS:GO/BF4 right now.) I think I've seen Wile on a little.

I dabble on it occasionally. Only problem I have is you basically have to pay to win at a certain level just to remain competitive in it. If I was going to do that for a card game, I'd go back to playing Magic the gathering.

It's why I've mainly done Arena. I've figured out that generally speaking I can get up to about rank 15 with the cards I have so far. Beyond that and people start using meta decks semi-competently. Arena evens it out a bit and is letting me learn the game without going "Please. No. More. Legendaries. Mercy."

Urg, don't get me started on legendaries. Best feeling I've had in that game is snatching victory from my opponent who set up a brutal combo with a legendary. Managed to nuke him with a powered up fireball for the win.

I like those moments especially when they start taunting when you're on 1 health or low health, and then you win.

I had an arena moment like that today. Opponent taunted a lot especially when he thought I wasted spells to maintain board control (1 flamecannon, 3 fireballs, 1 polymorph, 1 flame lance). He BMed and decided to leave a sheep on the board from his polymorph when he was at 11 health. He never got to see the blizzard or the 4th flameball that were in my hand since I topdecked my pyroblast. Guess what minion killed him as he spammed "Well played!"

It reminds me of teabagging snipers who pitch tents and never move.

    Re: Hearthstone

I've honestly never been so nervous in my life playing a video game. The last 5 wins were relatively easy though in comparison to the first 9 games.

    Re: Hearthstone

Started playing again about a month ago after seeing some more about Standard. Also, I think I just beat Kolento in an Arena match. Time to get back to studying though.

If you don't know about Standard, pretty much the ranked ladder is going to be split into two categories: Wild and Standard. Wild has every card from every expansion and adventure. Standard will only have the Basic and Classic cards along with the expansions and adventures released in the last two years. Standard will also be what is used for competitive play.

Card packs and adventures that are rotated out will no longer be available for purchase with a caveat. If you've already purchased at least one level of an adventure, you can still purchase the rest after they leave Standard. All of those cards will still be available to craft with Dust.

Naxx and GvG will be rotated out at the end of April.

Blizzard has also said they're nerfing 12 cards from Classic (and Basic, I think) once the Whispers of the Old Gods (new expansion) patch hits in about a month.
