Re: Tom Clancy's The Division
Been playing every night so far; and I must say, very impressed.
a lot of fun to play, and the missions are not repetitive at all; while the objectives might be the same, the challenge and level layout for each repetition is completely different.salty99 liked this post

Re: Tom Clancy's The Division
After 4 days I have to admit that I wanted to shit on this game so bad but alas I cant. It's a thing of technical genius. The engine is amazingly well optimized and the things they do with seemless transitions is amazing with the game having the least amount of loading screens I have ever seen in a game of its type. It's party system is simple and intuitive and you are never losing anyone. The missions are fun and even though you may play them multiple times it always feels like you accomplished something. The Dark Zone is intense at times. Most people are cool with just leaving everyone else well alone but a few as I have learned the hard way are not. Mostly though my DZ experience has been pretty positive.
However it isn't all sunshine and rainbows even though I am happy with the game there are a few issues that had me going wtf mate. I got stuck on a restock box in the middle of a mission while team could have used more heals and dps. I wish parties had a loot pool so if someone found something good our one of the other members they could share it. I couldn't tell you how many times I just junked a gun or a piece of armor someone could have used. Also I can't go without talking about the annoying and all to familiar and quite frankly not unexpected server issues on day one. I also think that in a pinch the cover system can be clucky and unresponsive compare to what you are trying to ask of it. reg can really take the tank sometimes and can lag and I still run into the occasional crash and bug here and there but coming from Arma as sad as it might seem to say I don't mind because the gameplay is good and I am having fun.
In final thoughts go play this game if not for the story or any of that jazz but for the gameplay and fun with friends and if that doesn't float your boat admire the technical beauty of this game because it is an amazing feat of game development.

Re: Tom Clancy's The Division
So game has been out for a bit now, do you guys all feel the same way about it? I have a choice between this, Tomb Raider, and Farcry, and this one seems to be the only one I would actually pay full price for. Is it worth the price still for a MMORPGFPSXYZ?

Re: Tom Clancy's The Division
Well here are my thoughts. First and foremost we have to talk about the end game. Everything is great until you get there. I mean it is fun but there are a lot of balancing issues, trolls, and the stores and dark zone credits are for the most part pointless until you get to Dark Zone rank 50. It seems everything happens way to fast and before you know it you are thinking of starting a second character and you will have to because the penalties for dying in dark zone as a rogue (someone who has killed another player) are steep and that's putting it lightly so having a second character to take the fall is pretty much necessary.
I don't know what is in the future for the game but Massive is taking in consideration the criticisms they are receiving from the player base and I suspect by next month the end game will be drastically different but that about sums up my biggest problem with the game so far. I would get it over Farcry for sure any day and seeing as Tomb Raider has its own problems I would steer clear of that one for now.

Re: Tom Clancy's The Division
Get the division.
I think the end game is in the same state destiny's was before the first raid was released.
I have heard from a a source that I trust close to the game that brooklyn, central park, an aircraft carrier (or some ship), and some other areas will be patched into the game in the first 3 months or so.
I think frequent big updates are planned, and I see the game just getting better overtime. The base of the game is amazing and the end is only missing some balancing and goals.-- Intentionally Left Blank --
