Anyone here playing Elite Dangerous?

I picked it up over the Christmas holidays and started playing it last week.

I am about 30 hours in and I think I am starting to figure this game out.

I'm using DARK as my AI. I've gotten about 20 hours in and I think I have it down as well, kinda. If it wasn't for VoiceAttack I'd still be trying to figure the game out. There's just so many buttons and so much stuff to learn for flying just right.

I'm still trying to find my place in the game though. Do I wanna trade, mine, bounty hunt, black market deal, or explore. I'm not quite sure what I'm good at, and I've been playing primarily offline for that reason. There's just so much stuff going on its hard to settle on one thing so that you can get a good grasp on the mechanics for that style.

The Universe for this game is massive, and I'm really impressed by the visuals. I'm still debating on whether to get the DLC now or wait till it's more complete. I've heard mixed things about it being worth the price. I'm really curious about the plans for multi-crewed ships though, having a copilot could be pretty neat.

Instances fights maxing out at around 30ppl. Meh.
The vast majority of the player base plays in the single player mode (whatever it's called) to avoid being engaged by others who want to shoot them. Meh.
Hauling good for npc orders/industry is one of the few ways to earn enough credits to ship progression.

It's very pretty though, I'll give it that.

I was considering picking up the season pass and see what has changed since I played it last. I know everyone is going crazy at the moment over the Thargoids.

I checked out some of the let play vids on the season pass and it looks like they added a ton of new content.
