Yeah I saw that. I've never played any Final Fantasy game before but FFX was the only one that really looked like it'd capture my interest if I did. Maybe I'll give the franchise a start.

I liked X-2's battle system and the music, and it was essentially fan fiction to me. Also, more blitzball.

I would say that if you want all of the ultimate weapons that you have blood pressure medication. One of them involves dodging lightning strikes 400(?) times in a row.

At the least, it's worth it for blitzball and the cinematics.

Bought them on release! Beat X with all ultimate weapons. Blitzball took the longest, by far. Chocobo racing took a couple hours. Lightning bolts a little less than than. The key is to dodge 5-10 at a time, pause and take a few seconds break, continue. Every 25-50, take a few minute break.

Just started x-2. Enjoying it so far, but I don't take it (or any game) seriously.

As far as favorites in the series, it is vi and ix for me. X and xii are also fun. Don't care much for the rest. I think I only haven't played much of ii, iii, and v.

Trails in the Sky on Steam is also very much worth playing.

X-2 is more fun fan fiction stuff with a fun job system and good music. (Also, on the first island, there are infinitely spawning weak enemies if you want to level up stuff and don't mind a grind).
