    i tried running at 1024 no difference and i do have the 182 driver...

    any other thoughts on it?

    Well, I Googled to see what causes artifacts, and a couple of site mentioned that it could be a overheating/cooling issue, or a dying or insufficient power supply.

    How big is your PSU?

    Can you open up the case and point a fan at it to see if it helps?

    Just checking the temp should do, dont need to open it up, because you just expose it to more dust.

    But yeh, check you have enough cooling.
