Just turn down your view distance if you can't run it well. The huge draw distance is what causes the most lag.

The cross hair is a server setting of Texas Teamplayers, many servers actually disable crosshairs and third person view, it is a choice that the server makes.

It's not about the run and gunning them. It takes practice to understand when to fire and how to fire. You need to hide, pick your targets and make sure they never find your position.

There is no reason a 9600 GT shouldnt be able to run a game(well) that came out over a year ago. The game engine is in efficent. Period

It's not about running and gunning? How about the game throwing you in a level saying go here, against a city filled with insurgents that can shoot you before you can even see them. when an enemy can kill you before you can see it, then you have a poorly designed game.

A little bit of priming? Just wow..... That game doesnt have close to the player base that PR or BF2 has.

The basics won't get you anywhere in that game.

I have never encountered a scenario where the enemy can kill me before I see them. If you keep yourself properly situated, then you will have all the time you need to examine the situation and determine how to take them out. The AI will only actively search for you if they are under fire or hear bullets, otherwise it is pretty easy to hide from them. Unless you are running out into the middle of the street that they are patrolling, then you are pretty safe.

Then once the enemy is engaged, you have to take out the right targets. Watch where they are looking, and take out the target looking in your direction first.
