I have played the first Stalker and this one, gameplay wise, is pretty much the same. Which is not necessarily a bad thing.
I would give it a 7 or 8 on a scale to 1-10, which I think is fair since most games aren't 9 or 10 which is perfect and no game is perfect.
The graphics are amazing, I would give gfx a 9, so if you have a topnotch rig and can run it on the highest settings, it is highly recommended.
I have only gotten like 5 hrs in so I couldn't tell you anything about the story that is groundbreaking, except you are a stalker who can withstand large radiation emissions, just make sure you collect you rewards!!
I am not the best at reviewing games but I gave it a shot. Where are all the people saying that they were going to buy this game?

Yes, but that is your opinion. No game is truly perfect.

Judging from the unmodified Shadow of Chernobyl, the only way to get a scope is to find either the PSO-1 from enemies, or the SUSAT scope from enemies as well.
When you kill someone, modifications to their weapons can visibly be seen. If someone has a scope on say their AK-74, pick the AK up, right click on it, dismount the scope, and re-mount it on your AK (unless the AK you picked up is in better condition than yours, then you keep it and throw away the old AK. Remember to unload the weapon before you get rid of it, saves you some ammo)
I wanted to get this game, but buying my new hard drive was more worth the money. I'll get it at some point, until then, there's Oblivion Lost for Shadow of Chernobyl.

I'm sorry, but I don't have to play all games to know that there is no perfect game.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great games out there that are close. Even with bugs they make up for it by what they do well.
