Really the only things that are ACTUALLY bannable... Are botting, hacking, severe exploits (One in kara where you can go to any boss you want etc),Trespassing onto GM island OMG actual real life threats with some meat to them (In which cops are also contacted) etc... Language and shit, is a few hours ban and thats it.

banning for cursing is goddam retarded. Blizzard gives you a language filter which is on by default. So unless you want to see cursing you are not going to see it. To ban somebody for cursing is retarded because you have the option to disable it.

3 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, final warning, permanent ban. They can skip steps if it's really bad.

They generally will not close accounts or issue severe bans unless you're really out of line, because the monthly subscription fees are how they make money.

Like I said previously, I've gotten ~6-7 1 and 3 hour bans before. Warnings however? I'm not gonna go into how many of those I've gotten lol... Its practically a matter of "I drop an F bomb I get an email 2 hours later "ACCOUNT ACTION: WARNING" " type crap... Some of you know how much I drop the F bomb and cuss in general, and can imagine how many warnings I have stacked up LOL. I really love the complete bs regarding language and such so many MMO's have... I personally find it offensive that people can't have thick enough skin to bear hearing the word 'fuck' or 'shit' or any other magnitude of cursing/ insulting.

Unfortunately pay-to-play MMOs like WoW are businesses, and are just like most businesses in that they try their best to remain PC at all times. If it might offend someone, they make it illegal.

Like I said, it is sad though as I know have said much worse to people and seen others do the same. I guess there are just too many kiddies playing the game or just generally snobs who think they don't deserve to be talked to in such a manner.

I.E. William Shatner if he actually plays WoW like the commercial says...

...I can so see him reporting someone just because he is William Shatner and doesn't deserve to be talked to in such a tone.

You get the idea though...some people are just asses and will do whatever it takes to make them happy and Blizzard will at least give out said warning instead of banning 1 as that way they can keep both subscriptions and keep racking in all the dough.

Like Keiron said on the first page, I played pre-Burning Crusade (stopped when that piece of shit came out) and myself (and many, many others) used to curse up a storm and no one ever got any sort of account action--even when people reported you.
