I agree, but this one is being worked on by the same Developer as CoD4 unlike CoD5:WaW which was worked on by an entirely different developer, so this new one has been in actuality worked for much longer than you think.

COD4 still has many flaws, and now they are about to be 2 releases past it. Looks like Activision is taking the churn 'em and burn 'em approach.

I recently played through the single player for both 4 and 5 and I gotta say I like the style of 5 alot more. On 4 I could just run around unloading clips on people and never run outa ammo. On 5 I died alot more, had to choose my weapons with more care and the play style was alot of fun. Not to mention the videos! Those were really cool to watch while I wait for a lvl to load.

Mine always lagged up in the middle for some reason. But i personally like CODW@W more than COD4, playwise.
