Mount and Blade -Medieval FPS realised
I am sure some of you have heard of this game but I would like to introduce it to those who haven't
Mount and Blade http://www.taleworlds.com/, is an independently developed Medieval combat simulator. It breaks from the traditional genre since there is no magic nor monsters, only pure unhindered medieval carnage :9 The current graphics are not as clean and polished as games with larger budgets, but if you are a truly intersted in e medieval FPS then the gameplay will far outwiegh the lack of state of the art visuals. You can download the fullversion from the site, but you can only level up to level 6. For those of you who decide to download it you may want to have a peek a the strategy wiki: http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Mount%2...le_of_Contents
How is this game different? Well for one combat isn't simply a mass click of mouse buttons in order to make your virtual self swing his sword like a aluminum ginsu knife. Your swings must be precise and your timing perfect. The same goes for your blocks.
Though the most important difference is the fact that you are not a lone wolf kicking the crap out of everyone. Even someone with heavy armour and a devastating weapon can be swarmed by enemies and defeated. This is where your own personal company of soldiers comes in. In this game you command a group of recruited soldiers and hardened companions. All of your men are present when you enter into combat. Battles can become very immense with the proper modification. I typically have my maximum battle size set to 250 soldiers. That is 250 individual competitively unique soldiers on the battlefield all fighting it out.
Here are a few fan made video:

What is very cool is that the current game will soon have an expansion released which will tweak the graphics and more importantly, include a 32 multiplayer match. I think that TTP may want to explore possibly hosting a server for this game when it comes out.
