Age of Empires III
So I know this game has been out for a while now, but I just started getting back into it and I'd like to get more competetive with it. I like playing with people I know (or least associate with online) for a better time, and also so that I we can exchange critiques and strategies. Anyone here, play the game? Thinking about getting back into it?
They have 2 expansions out, none of which I have purchased yet, but I prolly will.
I need players!

Awesome. I was a HUGE fan of the Conquerors back in AOE II (still the best in the series in my opinion). I was never really an expert type player, maybe I'd consider myself Intermediate, but only because I know a good bit of the in's and out's, not necessarily because I carry out strats very well.
I tried loggin on to ESO today, but my wireless is giving me trouble when I try to log on....funny I can play all ttp games, but it cant connect to ESO...just sits there telling me it's verifying or whatever.
Anyhoo...what civ(s) do you guys use?
Initially I used the French, then moved on heavily to the Dutch...right now I'm messing around with the Spanish, which I'm loving. Faster home city shipments, lancers....wonderfulness.

Ya get the Warchiefs Expansion because it adds to the Euro decks. The actual Native american civs are kinda meh. And the Asian dynasties because of their awesome civs. Japs ftw. I've also played a good game with the Indians from time to time.
To bad I uninstalled the game. :P"Murder and marriage aren't too much unlike each other, one ends your life, and the other is a crime"

For online play I prefer AOE III. The Civ games are ok, I just dont like having to take turns.
AOE III also demands a lot of "on the fly" tactics. You dont have an entire turn to sit there and think what unit you should create next or where you should move. AOE III has everything in motion at one time.
Civ is more like chess...think Stratego, just more complex.
