thought i'd throw a post up about this as it sounds like it will be fairly interesting this is from an e-mail (thus no link)

1. Congress Forever 2010 announced. Release date will probably be late Q4 2009 or Q1 2010.

Congress Forever 2010 will simulate the 2010 U.S. Congressional (House) elections. You will be able to play from a national viewpoint, as Chair of the Congressional Committee - the logistical and strategic center for your party in the battle for control of the House of Representatives.

We will have more information about this as we get closer to those dates.

Be worth checking out if you are into politics, or strategy games. Or more importantly, both.

You remember that Stargate Atlantis episode where they're playing the Ancient RTS, and it ends up actually having effects on a real planet?

So you get to simulate being a politician?

Well, at least you'll learn useful things about misdirection, hiding information, and outright lying in order to get your way. Stuff that's applicable in the real world, especially around women!

not quite, you only control the election. So you basically control the lying and false promises to get people to vote for you.
