On the topic of turning the CoD series into an annually recurring game such as Madden... in IW defence it was Trayarch that made CoD:WaW... It's more Activitions fault for the annual releases. And honestly I'm perfecty fine with a new game every two years.

Even with 2 years though, I'd want something more than what they appear to be giving us. An updated engine would be nice, mod tools, admin tools. You know, stuff that would actually make the game worth your money every year or 2. I'm not they have to have all those things, but it would be nice since the changes appear to be minimal in their MP aspects.

Id be shocked if they did considering the extraordinarily plain bugs that plagued cod4 and cod5.
