Appearently there will be no dedicated servers for MW2 on pc. Wasn't able to listen to it but their official forums are blowing up with responses. They took out a major selling point for the PC version.... Pretty lame.

Yeah I'm assuming it'll be peer to peer match making. I really can't understand how this benifits anyone. It will force more pirates and less PC sells resulting in more stats to go towards the "death of the pc" arguments

I think that there will still be dedicated servers, from what I understand this will be EXACTLY the same to how L4D works . . .
and reading the official infinity ward forums is like pounding your head against a brick wall for multiple hours .. .

Start listening at about 1:38
This is Rob Bowling aka fourzerotwo. He is an IW employee and the public face of MW2.
The confirmation of no dedicated servers is @ 1:41.
There will be no dedicated servers, instead there will be a matchmaking server system like a Xbox Live (that they are calling IWnet). Servers will be solely P2P like console games will be and oriented toward "matching the players with others of similar rank and skill".
I won't be buying this game.
