Blizzard's Diablo II would beg to differ.

Squaresoft's Final Fantasy games would also disagree with hitting max level by the end.

But the storyline in FF games are so well done that they use up 70\99 levels and its worth every level. You had to work to get those levels. It took hours of leveling up to get that high. There wasn't a time in Borderlands where I was stuck enough to have to go to some random place and kill people to level up.

I don't think difficulty is what the creators had in mind.

It was a fun and casual shooter/fps hybrid. Shooter fanatics will of course consider it to be easy, but someone who is new to the genre (RPG fans) likely will not consider it nearly as easy.

Also... it is a console port don't forget. I don't know about you, but I would get my ass handed to me trying to snipe with a joystick.

I honestly don't know what the hell you guys are bitching about. When I played through the story with Allane and Toofpick is was extremely fun and awesome to play. Playthrough 2 is also really cool because you can get all these guns that you had gotten previously, but with more power, like the Elephant Rifle. I have a 1k base damage version of it now. 1k.
You all out to play in a good co-op match, start looking for good guns, have some fun... They'll be more DLC, and this probably isn't the last of the game.

Agreed, there's no way with this kind of success that Gearbox would just let this game die. They already have some dlc coming soon and likely a sequel in the next 3-4 years. Hopefully with 4v4 team games.

I reached Level 36 after the first play-through. During the second play-through, do you get a decent amount of EXP for the early quests, or is it the same amount as the first play-through?

I know the enemies are harder, so they will give the appropriate EXP.
