also do whatever the hell you want with your kids, raise them the way you want. just dont go around blaming everybody but yourself for your bad parenting. (not necessarily talkin about lettin your kids play gory games but just parents pointing the finger at every1 else for everything)
I can agree with you there. Take the blame for not caring when it mattered.

There should be, any smart company should have a contract. But an even smarter company controls how their content is accessed.
I bought the christmas steam pack in 06 at a store. Inside the box I got 1 disk with the steam client install.exe and a buch of serial codes to enter in. I never got a "pysical" copy of any of the games I got. I still had to download them from steam. IMO thats really smart. Keep the company in control of when and how the game comes out.

on a side note when I did not have internet, I was very upset that I could not play my singleplayer steam games. =(

i dont let my kids play games where you murder people.... well i dont have kids

but theres a reason theres a big M on the cover of the game. dont blame the corporation blame the parents that dont give a crap

    threadjack go!
A lot of the palyers that play here are adults and some aren't and some parents do let them. But is it ETHICAL to let the kids play? Just like is it ETHICAL to let them release early?
Are you asking the right question? Early release to undercut another company is an ethical issue.

Allowing your kids to play games where you are killing other "people" with a big fat "M" rating on the front cover, seems less like an "ethical" issue and more like a "moral" issue. Either that or a question of good parenting practices.

i think they should be blacklisted as it is obvious their corporate offices are willingly breaching contract. Which in turn hurts other retailers, both ones with physical locations and not. If Gamestop sells the game 2 days early, that hurts Valve (for example) as people are going to either cancel pre-orders or just buy the game at Gamestop instead. It will hurt Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, Stardock, etc. etc. for example.

I can bet the companies most pissed off about it are Valve, D2D, and Stardock. Since they have to deal with later release dates etc. as Digital Download doesn't make up the majority of sales, and then you have a company breaking the release date, thus fucking you over on your pre-orders. Would you honestly be okay with that?
