Re: Borderlands PC Patch Released
Welcome to the world where a great game is made for console first and PC porting is an afterthought with probably one or two guys in charge of it...
With the consoles if it works with one console it works with the other, they are all identical and work off the same hardware. With a PC they have not only the internal PC hardware, but the router(s) to work with and different types of connections.
I honestly think they were placing more bets with console sales than us PC folks.
I got mine to work with port forwarding, but I have run other types of servers through my computers before and knew how to do it.

Bullshit me?
Even if I do dislike how it didn't have co-op right out of the box, it's such a simple workaround, it's simply amazing that you are raging about it. You sign into your network, and open the ports. It honestly is SOO fucking simple Corpse. And even once you did that, here's what you do and it's worked as a failsafe EVERY TIME I'VE PLAYED.
You create a private game, invite someone, let it time out, and then join your SP game (or the other way around) and invite them. Works like a charm.
So take your rage elsewere, I honestly don't see how logging on to your router and forewarding 5 ports is so insanely difficult that the game sucks.Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."

Ok so I just walked Corpse through opening ports on his Firewall + Router. All are Open. and BL doesn't work.
So in other words : It's not his port-forwarding.
He did it all right the first time. It is another issue with BL.
We even used Portforwarding.com's port checker to double check that his ports were open. (or whatever the website is).

Hey, did you try what I said without looking at what I said before it?
Host a private game, and let sometime time out. Then go into single player, and invite them. If you have your ports open like you said, it should work, even with the Firewall up. If that doesn't work, well... you either didn't open a specific new port included in a patch or something, or you just have a bad copy of the game. I think it's the latter though.
