looking up some stuff on wikipedia and came across this list of former comerical games that have been re-released as freeware so thought i'd share. Obviously it would be smart to check prior to downloading one of these that it is still indeed freeware.

Tribes was bad ass. untill airial assault came into play.

Would GTA or GTA2 run on WIndows 7? I've been looking for a racing game and free is cheap

Sometimes I cry at the thought of no more Tribes games....

Well, to be fair they became kinda "meh" after Tribes 2.

Still... I don't think a better team-based shooter has ever been released.
