I can't believe I'm asking this about MW2
I'm thinking about buying it, I've tried it out at Best Buy and was rather impressed by it. But remembering my experience with the other CoD games on the PC, I had to uninstall realtek on my computer to even run the games. I just wanna know if this holds true for this version as well.
If not, I MAY get the PC version, maybe.

I'm still in shock that I'm asking this, but this problem was the main reason I stooped playing CoD on the pc altogether.

Welcome, Brother! We greet you with open arms! We here in the MW2 community are a redemptive bunch, no need to worry about all those silly things you said before, what's done is done...until we think of a proper punishment
I have it for the 360 and I love it! Though the PC community got shafted by IW it's still gotta be a pretty good game on the PC. if you get it on 360 we can have a TTP rebel MW2 night lol

Well, if the realtek issue isn't there...just tell me. Is the matchmaking system fine? I mean does it work well enough to where you can still enjoy it.
I honestly still feel like if I buy it it's the same as worshiping the devil. I still am not happy with IW, I don't think I ever will be honestly. But what's the point in buying the game on the console when I can buy it on the pc where it's cheaper and I can play better with a keyboard and mouse.
Like I said, I'm still thinking about it....

Re: I can't believe I'm asking this about MW2
Matchmaking system is purely random. They may say that it "matches you with other players of similar skill", but its just randomly matching you with other people of the same game type. This can either result in complete one sided matches or, if your lucky, close matches. Its a complete roll of the dice. Same goes for pings, sometimes you'll get a good ping sometimes you won't.
But when everything actually goes smoothly, the game itself is superb.
Also, the PC version is priced the same as the console version. :5

Re: I can't believe I'm asking this about MW2
Greetings, brother!
I'm fairly certain you shouldn't have to uninstall any usual programs to run it. I didn't have to, and actually had no trouble installing at all. The matchmaking system will try to join you with people in the same group, so if, say, everybody in the MW2 Teamplayers group joined a Headquarters lobby, you'll probably wind up on the same side in the same game. I've had a very positive experience with it overall and recommend you go for it.
