Re: Steam for Macs
P.S.
I am typing this from a windows computer in one of our 6 large datacenters which support over 35,000 users on a daily basis.
Know how many macs are in our data centers?
Thats right! 0, none, zilch, nada
Take your shiny toy and gab to someone else.
MS does gaming and work.
Macs do advertising.
Weap tears of frustration trying to support macs in a corporate enviroment.
Im not a MS fanboy, I just learned the OS that runs 95% of the corporate world, with the rest going to smaller percentages of linux and solaris, little unix still thrown in here and there.
I even own a Mac, I have an Air I run some of my network security scanning software from. I log into it about, oh, once a week.
I laugh daily at the users who buy a mac, just to run Prallels for all the software they do work with.
Some Mac users I give credit to for being knowlegable, most are simply trendsters, and to the smart ones I have to ask - why primarily focus on something that has very little value in most of the corporate world? Learn MS first, learn OSX on the side for fun.

Re: Steam for Macs
Parallels are just an excuse for macs to be able to do anything.
"Oh, I can do ____ on my windows parallel! Ya that's right I can run Windows on my Mac!"
... Why not just run a Windows computer? Nothing shitty will happen unless you are stupid and download porn everyday. ... Like ewok :2

Re: Steam for Macs
They are porting both Steam and the source engine to mac, with the source engine running in OpenGL.
