Thread: Let's Get AA3 Rolling Tonight

I started a chat for the group, join the chat once you get everything set up.

It is. Took less than 5 minutes.

Played for five minutes... it had lost all the progress on the account I had used before.... it still has no anti aliasing so everything is jagged as hell... it still isn't that good.

That's a shame, is it still buggy? I don't mind a shitty looking game as look as it actually plays

It played, but I can't stand everything having jagged edges and not being able to tell friend from foe because of it.

Same. I don't mind low graphics only thing I want is my high resolution, and perfect smoothness

How do you guys get AA on? I looked at all the ways of hacking the damn thing to get it to force AA. I downloaded ATI Tray Tools, as I have an ATI card to force Antialiasing and renaming the AA3.exe to UT3.exe or Bioshock.exe and creating shortcuts to those, yet no luck. The textures and graphics look like crap, even on high and everything is so jagged it hurts my eyes. The game did not look like any of the videos I saw on youtube. I only played the training, but could not get past the Rifle Marksmenship because the damn instructor looked like he came out of a 16-bit Sega Genesis game. AA3 is a damn embarrassment to the Unreal 3 Engine!

+1 killer, I couldn't get it smoothed out either with my nvidia card.....

I've read that the Unreal 3 Engine doesn't have native support for Anti-Aliasing, that it uses some other proprietary software called Multisampling or something that is inherent to the Unreal 3 Engine. But I've played Unreal 3 on this very same machine and it looks badass, and I had an option for AA. I can't believe it's so difficult to get the game to look good. Also, the controls are not very intuitive. "Alt" to run? "X" to go prone? I don't even remember what "Z" does. It looks like a really crappy attempt at CS:S or something. Maybe I'm just going to go play CS:S, since that game has stood the test of time.
