Thread: Free to Play Company of Heroes

It seems that Battlefield Heroes has started quite a trend in free online pc games.

An article on giantbomb said relic will be releasing a free to play online Company of Heroes game that will be similar to previous CoH games.

A progressive unlock system will be there...This could keep things interesting or kill the game entirely imho if the unlocks become too powerful for new players to get into the action. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open on this one but I won't get my hopes up.

this time, instead of buying the game in a dumb ol' box, you'll download the game for free and support it with microtransactions (or, at least, that's what THQ and Relic hope you'll do).

Hmmm....usually that means anyone that does pay get the better stuff..

Or get better stuff faster. But still, kudos for them, I recall fond days playing COH, and really enjoyed the cover system that it had.
