Nasa's small game "Moonbase Alpha" was just released on Steam! I believe it's like a proof of concept for their upcoming MMO.

Anyways, it's a team game I think, so who wants to try it out with me!

I've heard different stories, some say its a mulitplayer online game, others are calling it a true mmo. I have a feeling it won't be an mmo, but maybe something like what tpg has with its games and a server run by individuals or groups for multiplay enjoyment.

Also, I'm downloading it now.

As a proof of concept, this is an extremely good one at that. While its scope is very limited, the game itself is very small, and could easily be a single part of a larger game. It's similar to the Spore Creature Creator that was released before Spore was actually released. It was a small part of the full game.

I wouldn't say this "game" is good or bad, I think it's mostly NASA's way of saying, "Here's a taste of what we'd like to have for you guys in the future."

Allane and I also could not get the multiplayer to work, more likely than not because of some port issue we could not figure out how to resolve.

It was ok, not a whole lot to do with what your given, and a little slow paced. However it could become an amazing game if they tweaked it more. I found myself thinking that it would be cool running a space station TPG style. Team Alpha we need this, or Team Bravo theres a leak in sector 2.
