    I don't think they really deal with individual cases.

    And this is another shining example of Valve's awesomeness. They screw up some coding, immediately fix it, and give those affected free software. Unlike EA who just sweeps their problems *cough* VOIP *cough* under the rug, while spamming extra maps-we-already-had at us.

    That's why I've been playing nothing but Valve in the last few months.
