Thread: If TPG had a Bad Company 2 server and a public TS instance

I feel that we should have looked at trying differant server providers to see if it was the problem and not tpg. Its like this tpg server for bc 2 got a bad rap for lag. So how to you fix that. IF it is brought back it will take a lot of time to get it back on its feet. If you use the same provider, it will not work. We will be back how the problem started. It is ok to change. If tpg is going to put this back on and just add ts it will not work. I love this game but I think there is just to many poeple here in tpg that hate ea and BC 2. The funny thing is that more then have of them have not played the game in the last months or do not have it. How are you to vote on it if you are not going to play it. Coyote hit it when she said that the forum was a joke. Almost every body was bitching about the game even the admins. It was like they did not want it to work out. IF they complain enuff about it. It would go away. Well they won and the people who just wanted to have fun and play with fellow tpg players lost. I do not know what else to say. You all need to sit back and look at the big picture why we play the games. I just want to have fun. I hope to shoot you later evilblackjack
P.S. I think I was the one who played the most hours on Bc 2 TPG server so I have the right to say what I said.

Voted bring it back. I''ll prime, play and volunteer to be an admin. TS works just fine. There are about 8-12 5th guys and some guys that are no longer in 5th that have been rocking this out for months. VOIP was crappy so we got a TS and have been having a blast. TS has never given me a problem. A lot of us primed it before and would get it up and going 3-4 times a week. When I would get on and realize we had 4 or 5 5th guys on I would always say we have enough to jump on TPG and prime, let's go get it going. No one ever said no and we would play there until it died which was usually around midnight CST. Victrix found the same solution and we all met up and swapped info and we all play together on TS or Vent. For those of you that don't play the game or think it sucks, no one is twisting your arm here. I believe I can fully speak for all the current 5th members when I say we never wanted it to go away and for those of us that really enjoy this game we would do our best to keep this running and primed.

Most are going to connect, and then be told to download/install/open TS and join our channel, then will probably just disconnect. The good thing though, it's an easy way to weed out the non-teamplayers who don't want to communicate with their team.

I just see that as being a major problem. Maybe it isn't, I don't know, I'm just like Quick as in I haven't used TS or have played games requiring you to use TS.

TS3 has huge improvements in sound quality over TS2.

I agree with both Evil and Turtle I have spent many hous on TPG both priming and playing and I would even admin the game. When I last looked at the Gametracker web site for the server all but one of the top 10 were 5th members the other was Blood from VTRX and the rest of his clan that played were in the top 20. The only problems I saw were 1 lack of VOIP and second a lack of admins in game the lag only hit me ever so often. The only suggestion I have to make is make it more of a hardcore server.

The problem with the BFBC2 TPG server was 2 things.

It had lag problems and it was basically getting bashed as crappy game so hence no one played on it.

I play on a server now that is a 24 man, 3 rush maps on / 1 conquest map mixed mode server and this thing has people on it 24/7.

Question: if I join the server but do not join TS then it can easily be assumed that I am not following orders given by my squadmates to be an ass. Question is whre is the line drawn on this situation of not being a teamplayer headed to the banned forums or not.
If i joined a random server that said I had tjoin a TS server I would HAVE TO exit the server and game. Join the TS server and if there's separate channels for squads and sides I would have to guess what side I will be autod on rejoining and guess which squad will have space for me by the time I get back in. This is too much work to just play a game especially if I guess wrong and gotta do it all over again.

Btw somehwere in there I meant to say I can't alt tab out of a game once the game has started on my comp because I will not be able to tab back in without a crash
