Isn't this just for HL2 though...or is it for EP 1 & 2 as well?

HL2 ep1 and ep2 are all required to run it,now I have a question anyone know how to get adult pimper to work. I followed the instructions for ver.4.01 but no luck. http://www.baldknobby.com/forums/vie....php?f=7&t=129

Yeah I know, but what I mean is, is this ONLY for HL2?

Well yes and no it's HL2 but with alot more eye candy!

...finally ended up getting an install that wasn't corrupted

But I must say, it was WELL worth it

The game looks AMAZING! everything from the grit of the bricks to the individual text on the notes under the eqations on the posters on the wall of doctor breen's lab

new Alyx is they only complaint I have...to much of a skank. The old Alyx was perfect. Granted you can still use the low res Alyx model and an HD alyx that is identical to the original is in the works for the next patch.

The game has new music, looks a little darker, maps look WAY bigger, gun sounds are different (and very good) and all of the rest of the new models look very sharp and classy. I'm on my way through another play through all of them.

...and in case any of you are in doubt that the visuals aren't that much of an improvement, take a gander at these textures...

I got it from the link posted on the first page of this thread and it is a good one. Takes a while, it's about 12GB compressed.

Oh and if you are having trouble installing make sure...

1) You have HL2, ep1, and ep2 all installed with at least one saved game in each
2) you have Source SDK, Source SDK 2006, and Source SDK 2007 all installed
3) steam is closed during install
4) you have sufficient space (something like 20GB when uncompressed)
5) you initialize all character pimper models prior to playing
6) and you meet minimum spec requirements (if you have at least 3 gigs of ram, you may get a message saying you don't have enough but it should still work anyways if you keep going.)
