move minecraft threads

all minecraft related threads need to be moved here.

TPG will experiment with hosting a server, and will needs mods/admins/etc.

should be moved. I did a search for minecraft and mine craft in the game discussions forum. If you need more help on server setup/admin tool/etc let me know, I'll be avail via email/pm all night. I should be on my server tonight starting at like 9pm EST.

It is actually really simple setup imo. Download a few files, unzip and let er go.

So would it be possible to copy over the map file from JB's server onto the new server? We've all put hundreds of hours into the map already so that would be cool.

I would like to apply for an admin position as well.

Have a good amount of experience here at TPG, and I know the ends and outs of Minecraft itself very well.

we can move the map we've done on my server with super ease. it is simply a folder with data.

I'd like to volunteer for an admin position as well. I've been a mod before with TPG for the podcast, as well as have some experience with various server tools.

Also, if we do end up with TPG hosting Minecraft, I'd like to suggest possibly two servers, one such as JB's where everything is done the hard way, and one such as Hustle's where admins and trusted players can spawn their own blocks and items for creative purposes.
