    new launcher not working?

    So i upgraded to the new launcher and now it refuses to connect to minecraft.net. However, i can access and log onto the website and connect just fine. anyone else having this problem? do you know a fix?

    It's been working on and off... the website itself was down hard last night for a while.

    Evidently the server now calls the mothership as well because when the website was down, nobody could connect to the game server. That's a bad change in my opinion.

    Ah, so it wasn't the fault of my Linux system for not connecting... thats a relief. Thought I had screwed something up, haha.

    And with the game servers & website availability dictating everything, this is beginning to turn into a EA Master Server-ish thing............

    That's not a change. It's called home from the start, but their server was mostly able to handle the load.

    Steam had its issues early on, but most people love it now. Give them time to deal with capacity, and the problems should be resolved.
