Portal sale PC $34.99

So I canceled my preorder at amazon when I saw it on sale at bestbuy. This week the game is on sale for $34.99 plus you get a $10 gift card. Now I need to decide if the PS3 version is worth the extra $10. It doesn't seem like a console game because of the quick mouse movements. hmmm

My kids are really wanting the ps3 version so they can play as well, but I haven't decided yet.

civil you should get them off consoles while they are still young pc gaming is the only way to go except for fighting games

They play WoT on PC. The big thing is needing to build 2 new desktops so we each have one.

imo the PS3 is only worth the extra if you plan to play it on PS3. Otherwise you are basically paying more for the same game (then again, it seems common with Steam as Steam people seem to absolutely hate price shopping, even for steamworks games (just observation from Steam forums))

I do like the option, but I'm guessing that I will like it more on PC.

I don't have a problem not getting it the second it comes out. I work Tuesday so the earliest I could play is at night. I'll save $20 to run in Best Buy on the way home from work.

one thing to add though, would people be able to trade in the PS3 version (and keep the PC version)? If that is the case, with Amazon you'd get $20 gift card, and could trade back in the PS3 version (if possible) and probably get another $20 (at least)

I wish.

The PC code is tied to the PS3 code. If you sell the game your PC version would not work.

I found out you can. Now that the PSN network is back I was able to unlock the PC version. It's downloading as I type. I will get $28 for the trade in so the game cost me $15. Not bad.
