Portal 2 coop question

So I just bought portal 2 and was going to coop through with my brother but now it seems that he's played through a good chunk of it already with a friend of his. Ignoring the blatant offense of giving an outsider priority im wondering if his familiarity with the game will effect my portal 2 experience. Is the coop the same as single player? Should I find another partner?

If he is going to say things like "yeah just put thi portal here and your other one there" I'd say that makes things boring.

I'd find someone who has played very little or none at all.

Thankfully adre had poopy memory so it was a good experience for me.

Yeah I don't think he'd intentionally spoil it but it seems like it has to either be boring for him or get spoiled for me. Ill take you up on that walker.

well id imagine the challenge is working together to figure out the puzzles. if 1 person already knows all the puzzles then its boring for him and it ruins the challenge for the other person.

There's plenty of fun to be had in finding new and innovative ways to get your teammate killed. It's worth doing it at least once per chamber just to hear what Glados has to say about your antics.

I'll probably revisit sp and co-op in a month to get a fresh feel for it. Hell, there were levels I went back to to achievement whore and completely forgot how to solve them...
