I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove games that we purchased thru steam so that we can play them without being FORCED to use steam.
I`ve noticed times that I`ve tried playing single player games while offline and can`t because steam needs to update or other errors with steams connection.
I`ve seen a site one time that gave directions on how to do this but lost the link does anyone have any ideas?
I will keep tf2,css,l4d2,dods etc on steam but for newier and other games I rather not be forced to use Steam or ingeneral be forced to use any application even when I purchased the game property.
Simply put when I buy a game I want the game not steam or adware.Steam has nice prices but if they force you to use thier software than the pricing is kinda high.

Re: How to play your games without steam Tutorial
Steam is the DRM system used by Valve. It's content distribution, updating, (sometimes) server browsing, and DRM all rolled into one package.
I don't understand why you wouldn't want to run Steam. You don't have to worry about keeping track of discs, CD-keys, or any of that other crap. Download the game, it's installed for you automatically, then just boot it up and play it. Even keeps it updated for you, which is a huge deal - anyone that's tried to patch 2142 from install version to current without running into errors and Punkbuster bullshit knows exactly what I'm talking about.
