It's gotten some pretty decent reviews. I'm actually surprised - I expected it to be a hollow shell of the original (hi, Duke Forever), but apparently it's a pretty decent game. I'll just wait til it's on sale.

Because the games industry has a proven record of generally taking an old, early-2000s or even 1990s game, creating a sequel, and completely missing what made the original so good.
See: the new X-COM. Duke Nukem Forever. There are others but those are two everyone should be aware of.

I'd personally have to recommend this game to anyone who played the first, the story has me hooked.
I haven't got that far as yet, but from what I've played so far it's a pretty solid title an well worth the money.
If you're planning on purchasing the Augmented edition over steam, then be sure to check your Tool's page, as I had a bit of trouble finding the extra content.
I'm also currently doing a playthrough as well (seems like everyone is mind you), so if anyone's curious about what the games like then please check it out

Odd that the hero looks nothing like Hermann and Navarra from the first game, despite using the same tech...
But seriously I'm just jealous of the built-in sunglasses. I've heard good things about Human Revolution and will be picking it up next time I have some game money kicking around. It's supposed to be shallow compared to the original, but still hold true to most of the core tenets.
Given the way modern games are these days, I don't think I can ask for too much more without coming off as unappreciative and greedy.

It is up to $40 now... I am seriously thinking of getting it but first, how exactly will I be able to add it to steam? Do i DL it from amazon first? or will the code they give me allow me to activate it at steam and just download it straight from there?
