Does Posting links that redirect from TPG get us(tpg) more $?

it might be that safty redirect (some sites you click on an external link and get the "warning you are being directed to an external site, procede at you own risk") but we have that disabled, so i guess it continues on? Dunno why the fuck it'd only occur on one forum either... hmmm FINE ill join the damn group

Nvm, found the source.... Hmmm, maybe Bigdog enabled this to help us from being ... nagged from other sites for potentially leaching content?

Redirect ALL External URLs Posted in Private Forums

Enable this option to redirect all external links posted in private forums through an internal script. This will hide URLs from your private forums in server logs on external sites, thus protecting your privacy.
Note: The URLs will look like 'http://www.yourdormain.com/forums/redirect-to/?redirect=http://www.externaldomain.com'

Yeah, so am I right in guessing that it basically sanitizes the referrer data? You don't give away the deep links to whoever is looking to track.

Seems like the sort of thing you'd want turned on for admin forums and anything else where you don't want to give away the path.

Enable/disable on that sort of stuff is obviously your call (or, at least, not mine).
