TPG Discord

Have the higher ups considered doing a TPG Discord server? I know lots of my TPG friends are already using Discord, and it would be a great way to communicate out of game. Yes, there are already programs like Steam, Origin, or whatever else, and yes, it might take posts away from the forum :thinking: but figured it might be a good way to keep people interacting on a more real time basis. Thought?

The TS channel/s have been lite as of late. If discord in the new thing we can chat about it, cant be too difficult to spin one up especially since we have a server we could use. Stay tuned...

I would appreciate a Discord server, but I do imagine that it would affect the forum's activity (but it doesn't seem so active nowadays anyways).

I don't think you can have a Discord server on your own hardware, ya just tell Discord to start one up for you for free.

Great post though, I've really been a huge fan of Discord lately. It's got full markup support, you can easily set up roles and permissions for different users and different channels, easily delegate mod permission, and a full API for doing custom bots, scripts, and plugins. And it's free!

I hopped into the Lawbreakers beta a few weeks back and the game auto-launched discord, connected me to their official discord server, and put me in a voice channel with all the other players in my match. Pretty freaking cool.

the links are all temporary, afaik .. might be a good idea to keep a list of people who have discord so you can hit them up for an invite when you see them online?
