The Pirate Bay is piggybacking on visitors' CPUs to mine cryptocurrency | PC Gamer
The article describes it best, but in essence using a JavaScript coin miner as an alternate method to ads to generate revenue for the site... have you ever heard of anything like that? I know that I wouldn't mind using 20-30% of a CPU while i'm browsing forums here per say vs looking at irritating ads..I think others here might not mind it so much either.

I mean, jokingly, some of those flash ads use more resources than that. :P
However, given the infrequency of posts here, I know my browsing time for this site is relatively low. The Pirate Bay has a large user base to leverage with likely decent up time for visitors. Per view ads seem better for TPG.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.
